1. Data We Collect
We collect audio recordings of your pronunciation attempts, which are processed locally on your device and never stored on our servers. We also collect anonymised usage data (screens visited, session length) to improve the app experience.
2. How We Use Your Data
Audio data is used solely to compute phoneme accuracy scores in real time. Your email address is used for account authentication and to send optional practice reminders. We never sell personal data to third parties.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your account data is stored in encrypted form on our cloud infrastructure. Audio recordings are processed transiently and discarded within 60 seconds of your session. You may request full data deletion at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account.
4. Third-Party Services
We use Stripe for payment processing and Firebase for authentication. Both services have their own privacy policies and comply with GDPR and CCPA regulations.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, export, or delete your data at any time. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@pronounceapp.com or use the in-app data management tools.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Pronunciation Assistant, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the application.
2. Permitted Use
The app is licensed for personal, non-commercial educational use. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or use the app's phoneme analysis technology in other products without written permission.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial periods. Free trial eligibility is limited to one trial per account.
4. Accuracy Disclaimer
Pronunciation scores are generated by automated analysis and are intended as learning guidance only. They do not constitute a guarantee of exam performance. Human speech variation may occasionally produce unexpected scores.
5. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, all personal data is purged within 30 days.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of London, UK.
